Fern

Fern is a human mage who became Frieren's apprentice. She lost her parents in a devastating war when she was very young and was taken in by Heiter, a kind-hearted priest. Heiter raised Fern as his own, teaching her magic and instilling in her a sense of duty and compassion. Fern's childhood was marked by both loss and the stability Heiter provided, shaping her into a calm, mature, and emotionally resilient individual.

At Heiter’s request, Frieren took Fern under her wing as an apprentice, allowing Fern to accompany her on her journey to understand humanity and magic.
